Dustin Steeve is an experienced small business executive and Product Manager. He was the CEO of Lighthouse Escrow, co-host of The Marketing Trench podcast, and is the founder of Intercast.fm.
He’s passionate about children’s causes and mentoring business-minded young people. He, his wife Jen, and their two children live in Escondido, CA with their dog, cats, and horses.
In 2010, Dustin took on a leadership role at Lighthouse Escrow, a tech-forward escrow company, first as Marketing Director then as Chief Operations Officer and senior executive in charge of the company. As COO, Dustin restructured the company's business model, redesigned its technological framework, and built a team who tripled revenue in four years. In 2017, Dustin was made the CEO of the company, a position he held until 2023. During his tenure, the company grew to the point of handling over $1.4 billion in real estate volume annually and was the preferred escrow company of the Oppenheim Group, The Smith Group, the Boutique Real Estate Group, Kwon Home Group, and other nationally recognized industry leaders.
In 2022, he facilitated the acquisition Lighthouse, relocated his family from Orange County to Escondido, and stepped down from his leadership responsibilities in 2023.
Dustin has always been a tech and podcast enthusiast. In 2006, he worked as the Executive Director of GodBlogCon, a conference he integrated with the New Media Expo in Las Vegas. Contemporaneously, he worked as an Assistant Producer for the nationally syndicated Hugh Hewitt Show. In 2010, he Co-Founded and acted as the Head of Product for The Delight Group, an app development company which built apps for small businesses.
In 2013, he co-founded Signal Interactive Podcasting, a platform which enriches the podcast listening experience while solving monetization problems for advertisers. In 2016, he founded Curated Casts, an email-based service providing a weekly list of podcasts to entertain, enlighten, and invigorate the imaginations of center-right, faith-friendly audiences. In 2022, Dustin founded Intercast.fm, a browser-based podcast player empowering podcast audiences to interact and engage with their favorite podcasts.
Dustin was born and raised in Escondido, CA. A fourth-generation native of that city, he had his first job at the age of seven selling organic produce grown on his family's farm at Farmer's Markets throughout the county. He was blessed to grow up in a loving family and was additionally blessed to attend a school with a supportive and encouraging community.
Dustin graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of the Arts in History from Biola University where he is also a Perpetual Member of the Torrey Honors College. After Biola, he received his Certificate in General Management from the Summer Institute for General Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
His childhood experiences have resulted in his having a passion for mentorship and children's causes. Dustin participates in various mentorship programs through Biola University, has served as a marketing advisor for Pretend City Children's Museum, and sat on the leadership board of Seneca of Orange County where he helped to raise over $1 million for the nonprofit. He currently acts as an advisor for Hildegard College, a startup college offering an affordable classical education in Great Texts with a practical degree in Interdisciplinary Business.
